Premier Painting Company provides school painting services and university painting across Sydney, the Central Coast and Wollongong. From classroom repaints to campus maintenance, we plan work around term dates, exams and occupancy.
Licensed & Insured
Our education painting services cover interiors, exteriors and planned maintenance for schools, TAFEs, universities and early learning centres. We assess the surfaces, access requirements and available work periods before recommending a scope for your buildings.
Classrooms, lecture theatres, libraries, halls and staff areas take constant wear. Our interior painting services for education facilities include surface preparation and durable, washable coatings for high-traffic corridors and shared spaces.
Protect facades, covered walkways and entrances with coatings selected for the surface and its exposure to weather. Our exterior painting services cover individual school buildings and multi-building campuses, with access and staging planned around your site.
Low-odour, low-VOC paint options are available for classrooms, childcare centres and boarding facilities. Product selection, ventilation and drying times are considered together when planning when each area can return to use.
Where your scope calls for it, we apply texture coatings, specialist finishes, waterproofing membranes and protective coatings to extend the life of exposed and high-wear surfaces.
Maintain car parks, courts and common areas with line marking, graffiti removal and prevention, pressure washing and soft washing. These services can be included in your painting scope or planned maintenance schedule.
Our IRATA-certified rope access team works on multi-storey buildings and hard-to-reach facades. For older campuses, lead-based paint management (AS/NZS 4361.2) and asbestos encapsulation can be assessed as part of the proposed scope.
Choosing commercial painters for schools means finding a team that understands occupied buildings, limited holiday windows and procurement requirements. We coordinate the scope, schedule and site supervision so your facilities team knows what to expect at each stage.
Premier Painting has delivered painting projects since 1997, with experience across education, government, heritage, strata and commercial properties. Our team is Dulux Accredited and guarantee high quality finish.
School holidays and semester breaks provide opportunities for larger repaints. Where work is needed during term, we agree on stages, work areas and access routes with your facilities team to minimise disruption to classes, exams and events.
A detailed, itemised quotation helps your board, committee or department assess the proposed investment. The scope sets out preparation, coatings, access and timing, so you can prioritise buildings and plan expenditure around your budget cycle.
One dedicated Project Manager oversees quality and scope from the first site visit through to completion, with a Supervisor on-site daily, so your school or campus always has a single point of contact.
We specify child-safe, low-VOC paint systems for classrooms, childcare and early learning environments, without compromising on a high-quality, durable finish or the warranties.
Relevant staff hold Working With Children Checks. CM3 accreditation, Ebix Trade Monitor validation, site-specific safety plans and Safe Work Method Statements support our approach to site management, alongside your school’s induction and access procedures.
Our projects carry a 7-year workmanship warranty. Manufacturer warranties of 7 to 10 years may also apply to the specified coating system, subject to the relevant terms.
Our completed education projects include UNSW and local NSW public schools. We bring this experience to painting programs for public, independent and Catholic schools, TAFEs, universities and heritage-listed campuses.
Our scope also includes early learning centres, libraries, halls and administration buildings. Student accommodation painting is available for boarding houses and residential colleges, with work planned around occupancy and available access periods.

Premier has just finished the painting of the foyer and inside common area of our apartment building. From our first engagement with them to get a quote, through the interaction with the painters every day and the final touch-ups and cleaning - they have been very professional, polite and accommodating. The attention to detail and their painting quality is first class. It is evident that they are very experienced and want the finished job to be exceptional. Highly recommended.Posted on Google![]()

FAQS
How much does school or university painting cost?
Cost depends on the size of the site, surface condition, access requirements and timing. We arrange a site inspection first, then provide a detailed, itemised quote covering scope of works, access methods, product specifications and a project timeline. Your dedicated Project Manager holds the scope to that figure, so the budget you take to your board, committee or department is the budget we deliver on.
Can you paint during school holidays and semester breaks?
Yes. Larger works such as exteriors, halls and full classroom blocks are commonly scheduled for school holidays or semester breaks, and we plan the program around your term dates well in advance. Where work needs to continue into term, it is staged by building or zone so teaching continues. For more planning guidance, see our article on school and university painting in NSW.
Can painting continue while students and staff are on site?
Yes. We are experienced in occupied education environments. Work areas are separated from classes and walkways, access routes are agreed with your facility team, and child-safe, low-VOC paint systems are used in occupied spaces. Our on-site Supervisor manages noise, access and site cleanliness daily.
Do your painters hold Working With Children Checks?
Yes. Working With Children Checks are held by relevant staff, and our Project Manager coordinates any site inductions, sign-in procedures or additional screening your school requires before work begins. Staff are also background-screened for heritage and government projects.
What paint do you use in classrooms, childcare and high-traffic areas?
We specify child-safe, low-VOC paint systems for classrooms, childcare and early learning centres, with durable, washable finishes for corridors, stairwells and other high-traffic areas that need regular cleaning. The right system depends on the surface, the level of wear and how soon the space is needed back, and we confirm it with you as part of the quotation.
Can you paint multi-storey buildings and heritage-listed campuses?
Yes. Our IRATA-certified rope access teams reach multi-storey buildings and hard-to-access facades, and we also use swing stages, elevated work platforms and scaffold where they suit the building. For older and heritage-listed campuses, lead-based paint hazard management to AS/NZS 4361.2 and asbestos encapsulation can be built into the scope.
Can you provide compliance documentation for procurement or audits?
Yes. Every education project includes Site-Specific Safety Plans, Safe Work Method Statements and insurance documentation, supported by our CM3 accreditation and Ebix Trade Monitor validation, for your procurement, tender or audit file. For more on the standards that apply, see our guide to painting requirements for schools, hospitals and public spaces.
Can you handle graffiti removal, line marking and ongoing maintenance?
Yes. Alongside repainting and specialist coatings, we offer general maintenance and handyman services with tailored maintenance schedules, so your facility can bundle ongoing upkeep with your painting program.
What warranty applies to school and university painting projects?
Our education painting projects include a 7-year workmanship warranty. Manufacturer warranties of 7 to 10 years may also be available, depending on the specified products and applicable terms. We confirm the warranty details for your project as part of the proposal.
