Heritage buildings require specialist knowledge of historically appropriate paint systems, careful surface preparation for aged substrates, and compliance with conservation guidelines. Are your painters background-screened for government and heritage sites?
Yes. All staff working on government and heritage properties are background-screened as required — a standard condition of our relationship with the Historic Houses Trust of NSW. A dedicated Project Manager and on-site Supervisor oversee conduct and access protocols on every project.
Can you manage lead-based paint on older government buildings?
What heritage finishes can you apply?
Our specialist finishes include limewash, cement-based finishes, marbling, graining, and rag rolling. We specify heritage-appropriate paint systems suited to the substrate, exposure conditions, and conservation requirements of each building.
Can you access hard-to-reach facades on heritage buildings without scaffolding?
Yes. We offer rope access and abseiling, elevated work platforms, swing stages, and fixed and mobile scaffold. For heritage facades where scaffolding would be intrusive or impractical, rope access is often the preferred solution — minimising disruption to the building and its surroundings.
What warranty applies to heritage and government painting work?
All projects carry a 7-year workmanship warranty. Where Dulux products are applied by our Dulux Accredited team, a 10-year manufacturer warranty is also available. Other major paint brands we use offer similar 7–10 year warranties.
